CTE creates a special department for wind turbines
"CTE is an experimented engineering office for structural calculation based in Mulhouse (France) with subsidiaries in Germany and Brazil. This year its presence on the wind energy market became reinforced also thanks to a new office in Brittany (western France) which has been added to the “wind turbines department” .Created in the month of March, it especially aims to meet the requirements of the numerous clients in France and Germany. Thanks to its previous experience on the German market and a three years experience in France, CTE calculates wind turbines foundations in a most professional and efficient way. The strong know-how for static calculations of foundations includes also the calculation of fatigue and finite elements, in accordance with the known regulations for wind turbines like GL and DIBt, and also adapted to the French norms.
Until today, CTE’s references show more than 40 parks realized and much more coming in the near future. Nearly all constructors of turbines known on the European market are represented."
Vestas V90 – the two most powerful wind-turbines installed in France
"CTE calculated the foundations of the two most powerful wind turbines in France at the site of “Saint-Martin des Bésaces” (F). These 80 m high wind-turbines will be able to produce 3 Mega-Watts each; it is a brand new project in France. Given the solidity required, CTE calculated especially adapted foundations with a formwork system for the soil, which enables the concrete work to be executed in one single time. This time-sparing technique was designed by Fondasolutions. The concrete volume used for one foundation is 310 m3 for an octogone with a diameter of 14,70 m. CTE, whose know-how does not stop growing in the wind-turbine sector, and the company Fondasolutions can be proud of their own work result, which was controlled and approved by the APAVE."
